A tablet that stands out: all about the TLC NxtPaper 14 Pro

TLC launched NxtPaper technology in 2021 as a path to bridging the gap between e-readers and smart devices, and in 2023 it also arrived on smartphones with the TLC 40.

The TLC device won the CES 2024 Innovation Award, but the manufacturer continued on this path by relaunching with the new NxtPaper 3.0 technology which manages to filter blue light up to 61% and introduces the CPL (Circularly Polarized Light) screen. This simulates the alternation of emission, reflection and refraction of natural light, producing a visual effect that totally reflects the experience of reading books in natural light.

New devices, including the NxtPaper 14 Pro tablet, are equipped with this technology. All feature the 3-in-1 VersaView UI interface, optimized for various viewing scenarios: a standard for everyday and general use with a blue filter and no yellow tint, a low-contrast Color Paper for comics, and an Ink Paper in black and white for an enjoyable reading experience.

The NxtPaper 14 Pro TLC tablet comes with a 14″ screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 700 nits. The processor is a MediaTek Dimensity 8020, 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage memory. The battery present is 12000mAh with 33W fast charging.

As regards availability and prices, there is currently no official information. TLC has not communicated anything to this effect, but the NxtPaper 14 Pro is expected to launch in the spring of this year.
