Mano Y Mano — Local Artist Samuel Rodriguez Exhibits in Hong Kong
Samuel Rodriguez gives an glimpse of his trip to Hong Kong for a Far East exhibition of his and fellow artist Aaron De La Cruz's work.
A few weeks ago I returned from a two-week adventure and exhibition with fellow artist Aaron De La Cruz in Hong Kong at Above Second Gallery. I am grateful to Jasper Wong, owner of the gallery space for not only exhibiting our work, but also for giving us an extensive tour of Hong Kong, which must have been exhausting. Not only did we get the chance to utilize the awesome studio there, but we met lots of cool friends and family of Jasper's, visited amazing nooks and cranny's of HK, Macau, and surrounding islands where we ate at over 40 spots!!! This was a mission in itself, and the food was sooo tasty. We solute you Jasper!

Mano Y Mano opened last week to a resounding success. Aaron De La Cruz and Samuel Rodriguez’s unique styles both clashed and banded together to create an installation that was a breath of fresh air to the city. The art carried to the outside of the gallery and brought a bit of California and Mexico to old Hong Kong. Visitors stopped by throughout their visit to witness the work taking shape. Wide eyes were aplenty.
