SJ Beez Celebrates First San Jose Multicultural Media Network
We did it! SJ Beez held its first mixer and celebrated being the only multicultural media network in San Jose.
We held our first social gathering on September 30 at the Silicon Valley De-Bug's headquarters. Community leaders, artists, youth activists, and business representatives in San Jose and South Bay areas came to toast and network. As SJ Beez enters a new phase of expansion, we are pleased to announce that Siliconeer and California Magazine have formally joined the group.
On behalf of SJ Beez network, we want to thank the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation for their financial support to get SJ Beez off the ground, NAM Executive Director Sandy Close for birthing the Digital Divide Initiative program which is the umbrella project of SJ Beez, Professor Sally Lehrman and Gloria Hoffer of Santa Clara University, and all our SJ Beez friends and supporters.
SJ Beez will be hosting monthly social mixers in various locations in the city of San Jose and everyone is welcome! To keep in touch with our news and happenings, follow us on Twitter or Facebook. To find out more about who we are, visit our "About Us" page.
