The Globe Newspaper Group

The Globe Newspaper Group, founded in 2004, produces two weekly community publications serving the African American communities in Oakland/Berkeley, Alameda County, and Richmond, Contra Costa County. Through its website (theglobenewspapers.com), The Globe is expanding its coverage to the San Jose/South Bay areas.

The Globe covers politics, health, local news and all issues related to African Americans. A strong feature of the The Globe is its focus on communicating and educating its readers about issues relevant to their everyday lives as members of their respective communities.
